AMS Seal recently undertook a crucial waterproofing project at Mel Maria Catholic Primary School in Attadale, ensuring minimal disruption by timing our mobilization during school holidays.

This strategic approach allowed us to commence the foundation works seamlessly, without affecting the school’s daily operations.

The project began with meticulous preparation of the area. We started by excavating the footing to facilitate thorough waterproofing application onto the wall’s foundation. Next, we diligently removed excess mortar from brickwork joints, meticulously patching and filling all voids to prepare for the next phase.

For waterproofing, we opted for the Gripset 51 system renowned for its superior sealing and adhesion properties. This choice ensures the integrity of the foundation, safeguarding against moisture infiltration effectively. A notable feature of the Gripset 51 system is its colour-change indicator, signaling chemical curing completion. This visual confirmation assures clients of correct curing and readiness for subsequent finishing applications tailored to their specifications.

The selected system provides a high-grade bitumen rubber liquid membrane, offering robust protection against varying weather conditions, crucial for maintaining the structural integrity of the wall over time.

Months later, we returned to complete the project by joint sealing the concrete panel structure erected atop the waterproofed foundation. This final step ensures the structure’s security and longevity, enhancing the overall quality and durability of the school’s infrastructure.
