Waterproofing Blockwork in Baldivis

For this recent project, we were contacted by Mother Teresa Catholic College for waterproofing blockwork in Baldivis.

A large retaining wall had been built on site, which proved to be a difficult job due to the substrate being in poor condition.

Following a consultation between our Directors, the Site Supervisor and our invaluable supplier Allduro, we took care of the preparation by removing the formwork, grinding and patching the wall to ensure the best adhesion possible.

The Gripset 51 Waterproofing System was chosen because it creates a sufficient film thickness of the membrane and covers the entirety of the floor to wall junction, that has also been detailed in the Elastoproof B50 bandage. This ensures the integrity of the completed waterproofing systems.

After this process, once the membrane was cured, the builder was able to cover the surface in Corflute Protectionboard and GeoFabric, to protect the membrane and allow for drainage so that the builder could backfill. This will present a sturdy and warrantable application for the client.

Our supplier, Allduro, were then able to sign off on the quality workmanship and correct application.

Being an area where young children go to learn and play, we are very proud of the final outcome on this project.
